Controlling automatic recalculation

If you don't want the unit to recalculate your route,
you can turn automatic recalculation off.
For example, you may know how to detour around
an accident and want to just continue with the same
journey after the detour.
1.
Press the navigation button (F3), then press
Setup.
2.
Press Navigation Preferences and scroll down
to Auto Recalc On.
3.
Press this button to turn automatic recalculation
off.
The original route remains highlighted.
4.
Turn this option back on again after the detour.

Which way is up

The top of the screen can always point north or it
can point in the direction you are traveling.
North Up displays a map with north always
toward the top of the screen.
Heading Up displays a map with your direction
of travel always toward the top of the screen.
This setting makes the map move around more
as you travel, but some people prefer it.
You'll have to try both settings to decide which you
prefer. See "Customizing" on page 63.
