HD Supply Water Heater Warranty Procedure

A. O. Smith water heaters are covered by the
manufacturer's Limited Warranty after installation date.
For complete warranty information, consult the written
warranty shipped with the water heater, or contact
HD Supply.
All water heater warranty claims must follow the
warranty process below. All water heaters are
nonreturnable without a warranty claim approval.
DEFECTIVE TANKS: Customers with approved claims will receive a new
A. O. Smith water heater equivalent in size to their current model. In the event
current energy-efficiency regulations prohibit the sale of a model of equivalent
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO INITIATE A WARRANTY CLAIM:
1. Leave the water heater installed. Most issues can be solved without spending time and energy uninstalling and reinstalling the water heater.
2. Be near the water heater and have model and serial number ready (located on side of water heater) when you call.
3. Call HD Supply at 1-800-431-3000 and ask for Warranty Solutions. Warranty Solutions will initiate a conference call with A. O. Smith Warranty and begin the
claim process.
WATER HEATER WARRANTY
size, A. O. Smith will provide a model that complies with regulations in the
customer's area, and the customer may be charged the difference in price
between the like replacement and the energy-efficient model required. The
warranty on the replacement water heater will be limited to the unexpired term
of the original warranty—warranty does not start over.
ALL OTHER PARTS: Any part determined to be defective in material or
workmanship will be repaired or replaced by A. O. Smith through HD Supply.
CONDITIONS AND EXCEPTIONS: This warranty shall apply only when the
water heater is installed in accordance with local plumbing and building codes,
ordinances, and regulations.
