    Recording Movies on a Tape Basic Functions Recording Before You Begin Recording Make a test recording first to check if the camcorder operates correctly. If necessary, clean the video heads ( 136). 1. Holding the lock button on the power switch pressed down, set the switch to CAMERA.

    Setting the White Balance You can use the preset modes to reproduce colors more accurately, or set a custom white balance to obtain the optimal setting. Settings are automatically set by the camcorder. AUTO For recording outdoors on a bright day. DAYLIGHT For recording in shaded places.
