The low oil sensor (if equipped) will automatically stop the engine when the oil level falls below the safe limit. To avoid an unexpected shutdown, check the oil level regularly, fill to the upper limit, and always operate engine on a level surface. To avoid these hazards, always allow the engine to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing fuel cap and loosen the fuel cap slowly to relieve any pressure in the tank.
