Executing Special Functions
Print server
Refers to the computer to which the printer is directly connected via a USB interface cable.
On the print server, select the printer driver called S400. From the print server, the progress
of printing can be confirmed using the BJ PrintMonitor.
Client machine
Refers to a computer that is connected to the print server via an Ethernet network. From a
client machine, select the printer driver called S400 (Server). When printing is executed,
data is sent to the printer via the print server. Although the BJ PrintMonitor cannot be
started from a client machine, the progress of printing can be confirmed by starting the
BJ StatusMonitor on the print server.
Selecting the printer driver
To use the printer with a network, the correct printer driver must be installed on each
computer. The print server must be set up first. Then, the necessary settings are made for
each client machine.
Setting up the print server
Select Chooser from the Apple Menu.
