Set the multimeter to DC volts.
4.
Connect the TPA-10 module to the voltage input terminals
of the multimeter (observe polarity).
5.
Read the display on the multimeter. Replace or recharge
the battery if the reading is less than 7.1 volts.
Temperature Measurement
1.
See the instruction manual supplied with the multimeter
(purchased separately).
2.
Connect the TPA-10 to the voltage input terminals of the
multimeter (observe polarity).
3.
Connect the temperature probe (purchased separately) to
the thermocouple module.
4.
Set the meter to read DC volts.
Note: Every degree (Celsius or Fahrenheit) of input will
produce 1 mV of output.
5.
Set the thermocouple module to F or C.
Note: The ON indicator will begin to flash
6.
Test the unit in the environment (air, gas, surface, etc.) of
a known temperature.
• If the unit does not function as expected in the
environment of known temperature, replace the battery.
• If the unit produces a very high reading, use an
ohmmeter or continuity tester to see if the thermo-
couple is open.
• If the unit still does not function as expected, send the
unit to Greenlee for repair.
