Purchase hose, regulator and shutoff
valve that has a minimum rating of
175 psi and exceeds the maximum
working pressure of the compressor .

Install intake filter on pump (see
Figure 7) . Filter styles may vary .

Remove cap from forward opening on
crankcase (see Figure 8) . Install breather
(found in parts bag with this manual) as
shown in Figure 9 .

OIl DRaIn exTenSIOn
Some models include an oil drain
extension and cap (found with the
owner's manual) . Install the oil drain
extension and cap before adding oil
to the pump . To avoid oil leaks, apply
pipe thread sealant or thread tape to
the threads on each end of the oil drain
extension . Screw the cap onto one end
of the extension . Remove the oil drain
plug from the base of the pump and
install the oil drain extension .

capacity and oil type . Add oil if needed .
Place oil fill plug back on pump .
Do not use regular automotive oil .
Additives in regular motor oil can cause
valve deposits and reduce pump life . For
maximum pump life, drain and replace
oil after the first hour of run time .
This pump has an oil sight glass as
shown in Figure 10 . Oil level can be
monitored and maintained as shown in
Figure 11 .
