3 SAFETY RULES/RESIDUAL RISKS
3.1
SAFETY "DO NOTS"
3.1.1 W
. DO NOT allow children of less than 8 years of age to use the appliance. In order to use
arning
the appliance, children over 8 years of age must be instructed in its use and supervised during use
by adults fully informed about the correct use of the appliance and the relative risks.
3.1.2 Warning. Children MUST NOT play with the appliance. Supervise children to ensure that this does
not occur.
3.1.3 Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
3.1.4 Keep the packaging film out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard!
3.1.5 This appliance is not intended for use by children, persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or persons without the necessary experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised
for their own safety by an authorised person, or have received instructions from the latter on how to
use the appliance and the relative risks.
3.1.6 Warning. The appliance MUST NOT be operated by children, incompetent persons or those who
have not read and understood the instructions.
3.1.7 W
. NEVER use the appliance with flammable or toxic liquids, or liquids with characteristics
arning
incompatible with its proper operation. Use of the appliance in a potentially flammable or explosive
atmosphere is forbidden.
3.1.8 Warning. Some substances may combine with the air sucked in to form explosive vapours and
mixtures. NEVER suck in the following substances:
- Explosive or flammable gases, liquids or dust (reactive dust).
- Powdered reactive metals (e.g. aluminium, magnesium or zinc) together with strong alkaline and
acid detergents.
- Pure acid and alkaline solutions.
- Organic substances (e.g. petrol, paint thinners, acetone or diesel fuel).
These substances may also corrode the materials from which the appliance is made.
3.1.9 Switch off the appliance after each use and before all cleaning/maintenance.
3.1.10 Fire hazard. Never suck up burning or red hot materials.
3.1.11 Use in environments with an explosion hazard is forbidden.
