Only remove the rechargeable batteries when
they are completely empty.
Be careful, the battery strips and housing parts
are very sharp.

also take the appliance to a Philips service
centre. The staff of this centre will remove the
batteries for you and will dispose of them in an
environmentally safe way. (Fig. 18)
Removing the rechargeable batteries
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and

let the appliance run until the motor stops.
Check if there are any screws in the back or

front of the appliance. If so, remove them.
Remove the back and/or front panel of the

appliance with a screwdriver. If necessary, also
remove additional screws and/or parts until
you see the printed circuit board with the
rechargeable batteries.
If necessary, cut the wires to separate the

printed circuit board and the rechargeable
batteries from the appliance.
