Machine actions
The coff ee is too weak (see
note).
Coff ee does not have enough
crema (see note).
Coff ee is not brewed, is
brewed slowly or only a few
drops are brewed (see note).
Coff ee leaks out of the coff ee
dispensing spout.
No hot water or steam is
dispensed.
Milk does not froth.
Causes
This might occur when the ma-
chine is automatically adjusting
the dose.
Coff ee is too coarse.
The blend is unsuitable, coff ee is
not freshly roasted or the grind is
too coarse.
The coff ee grind is too fi ne.
The circuit is not primed.
The brew group is dirty.
The dispensing spout is dirty.
The machine circuit is clogged by
limescale.
The coff ee dispensing spout is
clogged.
The hole of the steam/hot water
wand is clogged.
The circuit is not primed.
The machine circuit is clogged by
limescale.
The Automatic Milk Frother is in-
serted too deep. No milk is being
suctioned.
Solutions
Brew a few cups of coff ee as
described in the "Saeco Adapting
System" chapter.
Change coff ee blend or adjust
grinding as explained in the "Adjust-
ing the Ceramic Coff ee Grinder"
chapter.
Change coff ee blend or adjust
the grind setting as explained in
the "Adjusting the Ceramic Coff ee
Grinder" chapter.
Change coff ee blend or adjust
grinding as explained in the "Adjust-
ing the Ceramic Coff ee Grinder"
chapter.
Prime the circuit (see the "Using the
Machine for the First Time" chapter).
Clean the brew group (see the
"Weekly Cleaning of the Brew
Group" chapter).
Clean the dispensing spout and its
holes.
Descale the machine.
Clean the coff ee dispensing spout
and its holes.
Clean the hole of the steam wand
using a pin.
Make sure that the machine is
off and has cooled down before
performing this operation.
Prime the circuit (see the "Using the
Machine for the First Time" chapter).
Descale the machine.
Leave the Automatic Milk Frother to
cool down. Move it slightly down-
wards. Reposition it in its correct
seat.
