    3.3.1 Installing or Replacing the Ribbon Cassette EPSON recommends the use of genuine EPSON ribbon cassettes. Ribbon cassettes not manufactured by EPSON may cause damage to your printer that is not covered by EPSON’s warranties. Note: When you use a near-end detector equipped model, be sure not to pinch the lead wires of the near-end detector between the roll paper guide and the roll paper holder, and to push the lead wires inside so that the lead wire of the paper-end detector does not contact the motor gear.
