    MICHELANGELO USB C Generality GENERALITY Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology provides high- speed data access over regular phone lines. ADSL service is able to co-exist on the same line with your telephone service. The ADSL has an unbalanced connection speed.

    MICHELANGELO USB C Hardware Installation HARDWARE INSTALLATION Remove Michelangelo USB from its package and check its integrity. During the software installation, you will be asked to connect the modem to your computer USB port. If you have any problems identifying the USB socket on your Computer, refer to the User’s Manual of your PC.
  • Page 9 Before connecting the modem, you have to perform a Setup.exe file, present in the Driver\ Michelangelo USB C folder in the CdROM. In the “Install the DSL Device” Windows click on the “Next>” button.

    MICHELANGELO USB C Software Installation You have to select the right configuration. Ask your Provider for the profile to be used. Name Protocol Default Bridged IP over ATM LLCSNAP (RFC1483) Routed IP over ATM LLCSNAP (RFC1483) Bridged IP over ATM VCMUX (RFC1483)
  • Page 11 The utility configuration will now install Michelangelo USB. This could take a few minutes. Note: confirm with Continue Anyway the eventual informative Microsoft Windows®. The software you are instaling has sucessfully passed digicom’s tests and the compatibility with the supported Microsoft operating sytstems has been verified.
  • Page 12 MICHELANGELO USB C Software Installation Connect Michelangelo USB to your computer. The utility configuration will now configure and test the driver . This could take a few minutes. Click on “Finish” to confirm the installation.
  • Page 13 MICHELANGELO USB C Verify and change the Configuration VERIFY AND CHANGE THE CONFIGURATION To check the installation use the “Michelangelo Control Panel” utility. By pressing the “ALT” + “A” key, you’ll see more information.

    MICHELANGELO USB C Verify and change the Configuration With the Protocol Setup menu you can change the VPI, VCI parameters and Encapsulation Mode.

ADSL CONNECTION (PPPOA-PPPOE) You can use the remote access connection if your ISP uses the RFC2364 (PPPoA) profiles or RFC2516 (PPPoE). You can use the Michelangelo USB ADSL utility (Shortcut on the desktop) to carry out an easy connection.

    MICHELANGELO USB C Uninstall UNINSTALL To uninstall the modem use the “Michelangelo USB ADSL” utility. You will find it in Start Menu, Program and Michelangelo DSL. Choose “Uninstall Michelangelo USB ADSL”, click on the “Next” button, then follow the instructions.
