19 Cut-off Machine Cart

► Carefully insert the new V‑belt (7) on the
V‑belt pulley (8) on the engine and the front
V‑belt pulley (9)
NOTICE
The belt action must run smoothly.

► Fit the starter cover (5) over the studs (10)
► Tighten up the nuts (1) by hand
► Push the V‑belt guard (4) into place
► Screw in the bolt (3) and tighten up
► Insert the water hose into the guide in the
V‑belt guard (arrow) from the shut-off cock
towards the guard – avoid tight radiuses
Continue as described in the chapter "Tensioning
the V‑belt".

19 Cut-off Machine Cart
The cut-off machine can be mounted on the
STIHL cut-off machine cart FW 20 (special
accessory) in a few easy steps.
The cut-off machine cart makes it easier to
– repair damaged roadways
– apply roadway markings
– cut expansion joints

20 Storing the Machine

If not used for periods of about 30 days or longer
► Drain and clean the fuel tank in a well-ventila‐
ted area.
► Dispose of fuel properly in accordance with
local environmental requirements.
► If a manual fuel pump is fitted: Press the man‐
ual fuel pump at least 5 times.
► Start the engine and run it at idling speed until
it stops
► Remove the cutting wheel
► Thoroughly clean the machine
► Store the machine in a dry and secure loca‐
tion. Keep out of the reach of children and
other unauthorized persons
