Test Mode - Sony STR-KM22 Service Manual

FL CHECK MODE
All fl uorescent segments are tested. When this test is activated, all
segments light on at the same time, then each segment light on one
after another.
Procedure:
1. When pressing the [SPEAKER SETTING] and [M-TURBO]
buttons, press the [ ?/1 ] button to turn on the main power.
2. All segments light on.

5. Press the [DISPLAY] button, all segments light off.
S.F. CLEAR MODE
The preset sound fi led is cleared when this mode is activated. Use
this mode before returning the product to clients upon completion
of repair.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [MUSIC/VIDEO] button, press the [ ?/1 ]
button to turn on the main power.
2. The message "S.F. CLEAR" appears and initialization is
performed.
PROTECTOR AUTO OFF
To disable auto off after protector occur.
Procedure:
1. While depressing the [MUSIC/VIDEO] and the [FOOTBALL]
buttons simultaneously, press the power [ ?/1 ] button to turn
on the main power.
2. "PROTEVER" appears.
HISTORY MODE
The state that the set is used is memorized.
Procedure:
1. Set the input function to FM TUNER and turn OFF the
receiver.
2. While depressing the [SPEAKER SETTING] and the
[FOOTBALL] buttons simultaneously, press the [ ?/1 ] button
to turn on the main power.
3. "HISTORY" appears.
4. Each time the [V] / [v] buttons on the remote commander is
pressed, the item is switched in order as follows.

USER INITIALIZE MODE
All preset contents are cleared when this mode is activated. Use
this mode before returning the product to clients upon completion
of repair.
Procedure:
1. Hold the [ ?/1 ] for 5 seconds.
2. The message "CLEARING" appears on the display.
3. After a few seconds, "CLEARED" appears.
SOFTWARE VERSION DISPLAY MODE
The software version is displayed.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [SPEAKER SETTING] and [GAME]
buttons, press the [ ?/1 ] button to turn on the main power.
2. The message "MV2 **" appears. This is main microprocessor
version (KM22).
The message "MV5 **" appears. This is main microprocessor
version (KM55).
The message "MV7 **" appears. This is main microprocessor
version (KM77).
3. Each time the [DISPLAY] button is pressed, "SYS. vx.xxx",
"MAIN vx.xx", "VIDEO vx.xx", "SFLASH vx.xx", "STUNE
vx.xx", BTM vx.xx and BTL vx.xx appear in this order, and
returns to the "MV** xxx" display.

USB UPDATE TEST MODE
To update micontroller software through USB.
Procedure:
1. Plug in USB device during set at Power OFF condition.
2. Hold the [ ?/1 ] for 5 seconds.
3. The message "CLEARING" appears on the display.
4. After a few seconds, "CLEARED" appears.
