  • Page 10 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors And Liftgate Lock The Doors And Liftgate Push and release the LOCK button on the RKE Key Fob to lock all doors and liftgate. The turn signal lights will flash, and the horn will chirp to acknowledge the signal.
  • Page 11 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Emergency Key Should the battery in the vehicle or the Key Fob battery go dead, there is an emergency key located in the Key Fob that can be used for locking and unlocking the doors. To remove the emergency key, slide the button at the top of the Key Fob sideways with your thumb and then pull the key out with your other hand.
  • Page 12 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D WARNING! • Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or with access to an unlocked vehicle. Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended is dangerous for a number of reasons. A child or others could be severely injured or killed.
  • Page 13 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D To Unlock From The Driver or Passenger Side: With a valid Keyless Enter-N-Go Key Fob lo- cated outside the vehicle and within 5 ft (1.5 m) of the driver or passenger side door handle, grab either front door handle to unlock the door automatically.
  • Page 14 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D • If “Unlock All Doors 1st Press” is programmed, all doors and liftgate will unlock when you push the liftgate button. If “Unlock Driver Door 1st Press” is programmed, only the liftgate will unlock when you push the liftgate button.
  • Page 15 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D NOTE: If the transmission is not in PARK and the vehicle is in motion, the ENGINE START/STOP button must be held for two seconds with the vehicle speed above 5 mph (8 km/h) before the engine will shut off.
  • Page 16 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM The Vehicle Security Alarm monitors the vehicle doors for unauthorized entry and the ignition for unauthorized operation. While the Vehicle Security Alarm is armed, interior switches for door locks and decklid release are disabled.
  • Page 17 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D SEAT BELT SYSTEMS Lap/Shoulder Belts All seating positions in your vehicle are equipped with lap/shoulder belts. Be sure everyone in your vehicle is in a seat and using a seat belt properly. Position the lap belt so that it is snug and lies low across your hips, below your abdomen.

  • Page 19 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D If it is necessary to modify the air bag system for persons with disabilities, contact your authorized dealer. Refer to the Owner's Manual on the DVD for further details regarding the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  • Page 20 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D The SABICs and SABs (“Side Air Bags”) are designed to activate in certain side impacts and certain rollover events. The Occupant Restraint Controller (“ORC”) determines whether the deployment of the Side Air Bags in a particular side impact or rollover event is appropriate, based on the severity and type of collision.
