3. Cut the leading edge of the roll paper straight across.
4. Insert the roll paper holder shaft into the center of the paper roll as shown.
5. Set the shaft and paper roll onto the roll paper holder. Load the roll so that paper feeds from
the top of the roll and the edge of the roll paper passes the tension lever.
6. Turn on the printer and make sure that the single-sheet feeding is selected as described in
"Selecting a Paper Source" on page 29.
7. Bring the leading edge of the paper up over the paper path guide and insert it into the printer
path until you feel resistance. The printer loads roll paper automatically.
