Convenient Functions
The convenient functions are called up from the GRUNDIG
Infocenter. Using the on-screen user's guide is desribed on
page 4 of these operating instructions.
Security/Timer Functions
Using these menu functions, you can:
1. block programmes unfit for children,
2. block all programmes and/or switch off at a desired time,
3. switch off at a desired time (Sleep Timer)
and/or switch on at a desired time (Wake up Time).

Notes:
Blocking Programmes Unfit for Children
For this you must enter a four-digit code number. The signal
for this blocking function is not yet broadcast by all pro-
gramme providers.
Memorize the stored code number!
If you should forget the code, switch to a non blocked
programme position, call up the Security/Timer menu then

press the
button. If you now enter the button sequence
shown next to the key "key" symbol on the last (cover) page of
this booklet, your TV set will be unblocked.
Blocking all Programmes
If you use this function, the set cannot be switched on by
unauthorized persons after being switched off (automatically
or with the
button). Switching on is only possible by ente-
b
ring the code number.
Memorize the stored code number!
If you should forget the code number, enter the "key" button
sequence shown on the last (cover) page of this booklet to
unblock the receiver.
Automatic Switch-Off (Sleep Timer)
The TV set automatically switches off at the entered time.
Wake-Up with a TV Programme
With the "Wake-up Prog" option, you can select the
programme with which you wish to be woken up at the time
entered under the "Wake-up Time" option.

Special Functions
The "Special Functions" menu consists of 6 parts:
You can carry out various basic settings, e.g., preset the
volume.
The "IR-Dataprogrammer" and "Service" functions are provi-
ded only for the specialized dealer. The "Service" function is in
addition protected by a code.
The "Decoder" menu option is desribed on page 10.

Changing the Volume Setting of a Programme
Position
If you receive a programme with a too soft or too loud
volume with respect to other programmes, you can manually
adjust the volume level.
Adjust the volume level with the
volume level of the currently selected programme position wil
be changed.
