These are a fire hazard and do not guarantee the required level of appliance safety.  To ensure safe operation, only use the ventilation hood after it has been properly installed.

Always observe local building code requirements when selecting duct material.  Exhaust air should not be vented into a chimney or vent flue which is otherwise in use and should not be channeled into ducting which ventilates rooms with fuel-burning installations.
