Chapter 2 - Software Installation
This chapter shows you how to install the USB Wireless LAN drivers and software.
About the Software CD-ROM
The software CD-ROM contains both software and documentation for the USB
Wireless LAN.
The CD-ROM contains:
• User's Guides and other reference materials are located in D:\Docs
(where D:\ is your CD-ROM drive).
• Software for HP client stations and/or infrastructure products are located in
D:\Software (where D:\ is your CD-ROM drive).
NOTE
Before installing the software, you are advised to read the Software License
Agreement, located in the root directory of the CD-ROM. By installing, copying or
using the software, you are consenting to be bound by this agreement. If you do not
agree to all of the terms of the agreement, do not download, copy or install the
software.
The CD-ROM also contains a directory named Xtras. This folder contains additional
tools that may help you install and manage your wireless network.
Overview of the Software Installation Process
The complete installation of your USB Wireless LAN software and the necessary
drivers consists of the following steps:
