Uninstalling the Light Fixture
7-7. Remove the lower switch housing screws, then remove the lower
switch housing.
7-8. To uninstall the light fixture, disconnect the 9-pin plug connectors.
7-9. You must remove the wiring harness and its components from the
integrated light fixture. You must then install the wiring harness
into the empty switch housing included with the fan.
7-10. Locate the reversing switch and carefully remove the two screws
holding the reversing switch to the lower switch housing. Then,
remove the reversing switch from the housing.
7-11. Remove the patented breakaway connector from the end of the
fan pull chain. Carefully loosen the bellmouth nut from the pull
chain and remove the pull chain switch from the light fixture
housing.
7-12. Locate and carefully remove the two capacitors.
7-13. Unplug the two-pin wire connector with one white wire and
a black with white striped wire coming from the multi-wire
connector.
7-14. You have now disconnected the wiring harness and its
components and are ready to install them into the empty switch
housing. (The light switch remains in the light assembly housing.)
7-15. Insert the pull chain and fan pull chain switch through the round
opening on the side of the empty switch housing. Thread the
bellmouth nut over the pull chain and hand tighten the bellmouth
nut.
7-16. Reattach the breakaway connector to the pull chain.
7-17. Insert the reversing switch into the square hole on the side of the
switch housing. Install and tighten the two screws you removed
previously from the other switch housing.
7-18. Carefully place the capacitors in the switch housing.
7-13. Install the switch housing cap and plug button to the lower switch
housing.
7-14. Re-attach the 9-pin plug and reinstall the lower switch housing
screws.
7-15. Once you have uninstalled the light fixture, continue with step 8-1.
