RE1000 Range Extener
Connecting with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup Button
Use this metho if your router or access point has a Wi-Fi Protecte Setup
button.
1. Click or press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the extener.
2. Click the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the router's Wi-Fi Protected
Setup screen (if available), OR press an hol the Wi-Fi Protecte Setup
button on the router for one secon. When the connection is complete,
the Wi-Fi Protecte Setup light on the extener is continuously lit.
3. If you use the extener's Wi-Fi Protected Setup screen, click OK in that
screen within two minutes.
Connecting with the range extender's PIN
The Wi-Fi Protecte Setup PIN (Personal Ientification Number) can be foun
on the prouct label of the extener. You can use this metho only if your
router's aministration utility has a Wi-Fi Protecte Setup menu.
1. Enter the extener's PIN into the appropriate fiel on the router's Wi-
Fi Protected Setup screen, then click Register. When the connection is
complete, the Wi-Fi Protecte Setup light on the extener is continuously
lit.
2. Click OK.
Connecting devices to your network through the
extender
If you have network evices, such as wireless printers, that support Wi-Fi
Protecte Setup, then you can use Wi-Fi Protecte Setup to connect them to
your wireless network. Choose from the methos below to connect the evice
to your network.
NOTE
Wi-Fi Protecte Setup configures only one client evice at a time.
Repeat the instructions for each client evice that supports Wi-Fi
Protecte Setup.
