Possible Cause
Station not tuned properly for
AM or FM.
FM: Rod antenna is not
extended.
AM: The bar antenna is not
positioned correctly.
You have tuned to a mono
station.
Function is not selected to
AM or FM.
Volume at minimum.
Function is not selected to
CD.
CD is not installed or installed
incorrectly.
Disc is dirty or scratched.

Solution
Retune the AM or FM
broadcast station.
Extend FM Rod antenna.
Reposition the unit until
best reception is obtained.
Select another FM station.
Press RADIO and BAND
buttons to select AM or FM.
Increase Volume.
Press CD button to select
CD function.
Insert CD with Iabel side
up.
Wipe disc with cloth or use
another disc.
