    XHD7714 INSTALLATION Preparation Please read entire manual before installation. Before You Start • Disconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. • Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.

    (PAC SWI-PS required) Wiring Diagram Antenna Connector FUSE When replacing the fuse, make sure new fuse is the correct type and amperage. Using an incorrect fuse could damage the radio. The XHD7714 uses one 10 amp ATM fuse located beside the wiring connector.

  • Page 12 CHECK IPOD VER If the attached iPod is compatible, update the firmware to the latest version using iTunes The XHD7714 is sending Tags to the iPod. This process can take SENDING TAGS several minutes depending on the number of Tags being sent. The unit must be in Tuner mode to complete this process.

When playing a disc recorded with regular audio files (CD-DA or .WAV) and MP3/WMA files, the unit will play the MP3/WMA files only.

    ® Use the included 2-wire iPod cable to connect an iPod to the XHD7714. Once connected, press MODE until "IPOD" appears in the display. The iPod will automatically begin playback. If a song is playing on the iPod before it is connected, it will continue to play.
