This fireplace has a piezo ignitor. This system requires no matches, batteries, or other sources to light fireplace. Thermostat Control Models (CGF280PT) These fireplaces have a thermostat sensing bulb and a control valve. The thermo- stat controls the heat output and flame height. This maintains a consistent room temperature. -

INSTALLING Continued 102665 INSTALLATION CLEARANCES WARNING ICON G 001 Maintain the minimum clearances. If you can, provide greater clearances from floor, ceiling, and adjoining wall. Carefully follow the instructions below. This will ensure safe installation. Minimum Wall and Ceiling Clearances (see Figure 7) A. - Page 12 INSTALLING Continued 2. Most building codes do not permit concealed gas connections. OPERATING FIREPLACE Variable Manually Controlled Model Continued 102665 VARIABLE MANUAL CONTROL OPERATION The variable control valve can be set to any heat setting and flame height desired, by simply turning the control knob until that setting is attained. Even the lowest setting provides realistic flames and glowing embers from two burners. -

INSPECTING BURNERS Check pilot flame pattern and burner flame patterns often. PILOT FLAME PATTERN Figure 30 shows a correct pilot flame pattern. Figure 31 shows an incorrect pilot flame pattern. The incorrect pilot flame is not touching the thermocouple. This will cause the thermocouple to cool. -
