Shutting Off the Engine

Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Ensure
that the engine shuts off within
3 seconds after releasing the
blade-control bar.
To shut off the engine, release the blade-control bar.
Important:
When you release the blade-control
bar, the engine should shut off and the blade
should stop within 3 seconds. If they do not, stop
using your machine immediately and contact an
Authorized Service Dealer.

Recycling the Clippings

Your machine comes from the factory ready to recycle
the grass and leaf clippings back into the lawn.
If the grass bag is on the machine and the
bag-on-demand lever is in the bagging position, move
the lever to the recycling position; refer to
the Bag-on-Demand Lever (page
18).
