Unit does not come ON
No sound from speaker
Cannot transmit or
transmission isn't being
received.
The displayed channel cannot
be changed.
Error tone (2 beeps) is heard
when a key is pressed and no
unit function is performed.

Troubleshooting Guide

PROBABLE CAUSE
Batteries are exhausted.
Squelch threshold level too
high.
No channel broadcast is
being received
Volume is set too low.
Some channels are for receive
only.
Batteries are exhausted.
Some channels are for low
power only.
Output power too low.
The LOCK function is on.
Incorrect key selection and
the programming is limiting
key function.
REMEDY
Recharge batteries
Set to a lower
threshold point.
Move to another
channel.
Increase volume.
Change channel.
Replace batteries.
Change channels.
Press H/L key for
high power.
Press and hold the
H/L key for at
least one second.
Select correct key.
