Paper Does Not Feed Properly

Cause
Printing on
inappropriate type
of paper.
Paper Feed Roller
is dirty.
(Auto Sheet
Feeder)
Action
Check to see if the paper you are
printing on is not too thick or curled.

You may need to clean the Paper Feed
Rollers. Follow the procedure below.
Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the
Auto Sheet Feeder consumes it, so
perform this procedure only when
necessary.
(1)
Ensure that the printer is turned
on.
If the paper is loaded in the printer,
remove the paper.
(2)
Open the Front Feeder and
extend the Paper Output Support.
(3)
Hold down the RESUME/
CANCEL button; when the
POWER lamp flashes green three
times, release the button.
The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it
cleans.
(4)
Repeat step 3 twice.
(5)
Load three or more sheets of
A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in
the Auto Sheet Feeder.
Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the
left.
(6)
Hold down the RESUME/
CANCEL button; when the
POWER lamp flashes green three
times, release the button.
The paper that is loaded in the printer
will feed through the printer and be
ejected.
