This guide shows you how to pair the EV-1-WL

wirelessly to the WM-1 or WM-1D using BLE MIDI.

"Pairing" involves registering the MIDI device that

you want to use (making the devices recognize

each other) with the EV-1-WL.

Pairing the EV-1-WL with another compatible

device lets you control that device via MIDI from

the EV-1-WL.

What is "BLE MIDI"?

"BLE MIDI" is the technology used to transmit and

receive MIDI messages wirelessly via

LE standard.

This is officially known as "MIDI over Bluetooth Low

Energy. "

Page 2 [Bluetooth] button on the EV-1-WL. Press the [Bluetooth] button on the EV-1-WL. The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL rapidly blinks white, and pairing begins. The Bluetooth indicators on both units stop blinking and remain lit when pairing is finished, and the indicator on the WM-1 starts blinking slowly.
Page 3 WM-1, or when turning off the power while the Bluetooth indicator is blinking white (not connected), or when doing a factory reset of the EV-1-WL, the unit does not pair automatically. In this case, you must start from step 1 to configure the settings.
Page 4 Connect the WM-1D to your computer, and set it to STANDARD (Host) mode. Make sure that the Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL is blinking white. If the indicator is blinking blue or is lit up white, operate the device as shown below to make the indicator blink white.
