Symptom
No data is played.
Transferred data is not
displayed in its list.
When "All Songs" is
selected, songs may not
appear.
Cause/Remedy
 The battery is consumed.
 Charge the battery fully (  page 13).
 If the player does not react, even after charging
the battery, press the RESET button to reset the
player (  page 62).
 No data is stored on the player.
 Transfer data from the computer to the player.
 Transferred files are not in a playable format.
 Songs may not be played back, depending on the
file format. For details, see "Supported file
format" of "Specifications" (  page 80).
 Copyright protected files cannot be played.
 Transfer necessary data to the computer, and
delete unnecessary data.
 After dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer,
data hierarchy levels do not correspond to the player
(  page 16).
 The maximum number of files that can be displayed
has been reached. The maximum number of files is
2,048 files, the maximum number of folders is 1,024
folders, and the total maximum number of files and
folders directly under one folder is approximately
300.
 Delete unnecessary data in Windows Explorer.
 Data was placed in the wrong location by dragging
and dropping.
 Place the data under the "MUSIC" folder by
dragging and dropping (  page 16).
 Available capacity is insufficient.
 Delete unnecessary data to increase free space on
the player.
 After dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer,
data hierarchy levels do not correspond to the player
(  page 16).
 Transferred files are not in a playable format.
 Songs may not be played back, depending on the
file format. For details, see "Supported file
format" of "Specifications" (  page 80).
 If the folder/file name is 8 or less letters, and all
lower case, the folder/file name appears in upper
case letters on the player.
 Rename the audio file name properly in Windows
Explorer.
 The folders or files are not under the "MUSIC"
folder.
 Place them under the "MUSIC" folder by
dragging and dropping (  page 16).
