3-2-5. Distortion Ratio Check

Equipment and Tools Required
Same as "3-2-4. S/N Check".
Connection
Same as "3-2-4. S/N Check".
Switch and Control Setting
Same as "3-2-4. S/N Check".
Procedure
(1) Connect the audio analyzer (with A-weighted filter) to
the OUTPUT connector via MIC amp.
(2) Connect the signal generator to the ANTENNA
connector.
(3) Set the signal generator as follows :
FREQUENCY (Carrier frequency)
CE62 model : 806.125 MHz
CE69 model : 858.125 MHz
AU66 model : 799.250 MHz
RF OUTPUT (Output level) : 60 dBuV
MODULATION (Modulation frequency) : 1 kHz
DEVIATION (Frequency deviation) : ± 5 kHz
(4) Set the audio analyzer (A-weighted filter : OFF) to the
distortion mode, and check that the distortion ratio is less
than 0.9 % (_41 dB or less).
(5) Change the MODULATION (modulation frequency) of
the signal generator as shown below.
MODULATION (modulation frequency) : 10 kHz
(Note : 10 kHz modulation frequency must be set by
using the function generator.)
Check that the distortion ratio is less than 8 %.
(6) Set the channel setting and FREQUENCY (carrier
frequency) of the signal generator as shown 1 and 2
below.
Perform the procedures (1) to (5) above, for each
channel setting (1 and 2).
