Battery

Warning
• The battery is not provided. For the recommended batteries,
refer to the engine use and maintenance manual. Connect the
battery cables to the points indicated in the engine installation
manual.
Connect the negative cable (-) to the engine housing (above
the vibration mounts).
Connect the positive cable (+) to the solenoid of the starting
motor.
Danger
• During operations that require access to moving parts of the
engine and/or removal of guards protecting rotating parts,
isolate electrical energy by disconnecting the negative cable (-)
from the battery to prevent shorts or the accidental activation
of the starter.

Wiring diagrams

For the engine wiring diagram, the connection of the engine
control unit and the description of the messages transmitted
via the 2 CAN bus lines, refer to the ECU application manual
(available upon request).
The wiring diagram of accessory parts can be supplied upon
customer's request.
Connect the negative end of the engine cable to the negative
cable terminal of the battery and the positive end of the
engine cable to the positive cable terminal of the battery.
