4 Checking Pedal Stroke
[Items to be checked]
Make sure that the mute pedal ON/OFF stroke (shown on
the right) is approximately 8mm.
[Adjustment]
Since pedal stroke is determined by the size of the mute
pedal slot on the bottom sill, attach a slide skin to adjust.

Some Tips on Shank Stopper Unit Motion

Check the following items to smoothen operation of the shank stop
unit.
1 Make sure that the stay on the shank stopper in the lower
treble section is not leaning to the left or right.
→ If it is leaning either direction, loosen the stay attach-
ment screw, and then retighten the screw so that the
stay stands vertically. (Fig1)
2 Make sure that the stays for the stoppers on the right and left sides of the bracket are not
leaning.
→ If they are leaning, loosen the stay attachment screw "A" until the plate "B" can be moved,
position vertically, and retighten the screw. (Fig 2, 3)
* If plate "B" is not vertical, stress on the drive section "C", which connects the stay and shank
stopper, will cause the shank stopper to move unevenly. (Fig 2, 3)
