Using the product recovery CD-ROMs
Reinstalling a device driver
Reinstalling a device driver
Some applications or peripherals require specific drivers which you will not find in the
®
Windows
drivers folder. To help you find or restore typical drivers needed by your
pre-installed applications, you can use the System Recovery CD-ROM (vol. 2 of 2).
1
First check whether the driver you plan to reinstall is on the System Recovery CD-
ROM. Only device drivers that are not delivered with Windows
the Drivers directory.
2
Check all underlying sub-directories for the appropriate driver.
3
Next, launch the Add/Remove Hardware wizard (click Start, point to Settings/
Control Panel, and then double-click on Add/Remove Hardware) to install the
appropriate device.
