Connecting Peripheral Devices

You can add functionality to your computer by connecting any of these
peripherals:
PC card modem (page 42)
Docking station (page 44)
Printer (page 51)
External display (page 52)
External mouse or keyboard (page 56)
External speakers (page 56)
External microphone (page 57)
Digital still camera or other serial device (page 58)
Digital video camera recorder (page 59)
Universal serial bus (USB) device (page 60)
Before you connect peripherals, turn off the computer and all peripherals.
Connect the power cord only after connecting all cables.
Turn on the computer only after turning on all peripherals.
