Using AF to FocusN
Liveu (Face Detection) Mode:
With the same AF method as the Live mode, the human face is
detected and focused. Have the target person face the camera.

Display the Live View image.

Press the <A> button.
The Live View image will appear on
the LCD monitor.
When a face is detected, the <p>
frame will appear over the face to be
focused.
If multiple faces are detected, <
be displayed. Use the <9> to move the
<
> frame over the target face.
Focus the subject.

Press the <p> button to focus
the face covered by the <p> frame.
When focus is achieved, the AF point will
turn green and the beeper will sound.
If focus is not achieved, the AF point
will turn red.
If a face cannot be detected, the < > AF
point will be displayed and the center AF
point will be used for focusing.
Take the picture.

Check the focus and exposure, then
press the shutter button to take the
picture (p.110).
