Creation of the firmware image

1. Download the required image (XZ compressed) here
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/ps/28775/dl): installer-vxx-yy-zz.img.xz.
(e.g. installer-v11.2-vllocpp16-62.65.img.xz). The number 62 stands for the firmware
version.
2. Extract the content.
3. Write the image to the USB data storage medium. The image overwrites any data on the
drive. Therefore, beforehand check whether the correct drive was selected. You need an
appropriate program for this, e.g. Rufus (Portable) or Etcher.

Proper use of the third-party software
The use of the third-party software is the responsibility of the respective user.

Firmware update

To perform an update on a plant, the update USB storage medium must be plugged into the
USB port of the LCHI board if it is ready. The update then starts automatically and the
progress is displayed as a percentage at the top left next to the icons. Wait until the
installation has ended after several minutes. A warm restart of the plant must then be
performed. Shut down the PC in an orderly manner using the "Power" button on the LCHI
board (see Preparations (Page 6)) and switch off the miniature circuit breaker for the PC
power supply unit (F3). Switch on the fuse again after several seconds and the PC
automatically starts up again. Installation is now complete.
This step is generally sufficient to update the charging station. In some cases, however, it
may be necessary to carry out a new installation, which is described in the next section.
