Indicators
The Blind Spot Monitor is a system that has two functions:
• The Blind Spot Monitor function (assists the driver in making the decision when
changing lanes)
• The Rear Cross Traffic Alert function (assists the driver when backing up)
The system is designed to use radar sensors to detect vehicles traveling in the
Land Cruiser's blind spot. If a vehicle is detected, the driver will be alerted via the
outside rear view side mirror indicators.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert function:
While in reverse, when a vehicle approaching from the right or left rear of the Land
Cruiser is detected, the outside rear view mirror indicators will flash. Also, the RCTA
icon for the detected side will be displayed on the audio system display, and the
RCTA buzzer will sound.
