to protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the fol-
lowing work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

The tmng of feed drvng eccentrc cam of the feed
mechansm can be retarded from the tmng obtaned
by the standard adjustment.
) Loosen two setscrews of the feed drvng eccentrc
cam.
Carry out the adjustment when the hole n the feed
drvng rod algns wth the screw of the feed drvng
eccentrc cam.
2) Shft the 2nd pn to the left.
3) Brng the feed drvng eccentrc cam nto contact wth
the postonng cam.
4) Tghten two setscrews of the feed drvng eccentrc
cam.
5) To return the tmng to the standard adjustment, return
the 2nd pn to ts home poston. Assemble the feed
drvng eccentrc cam and the 2nd pn so that they
come n contact wth each other. (To obtan the tmng
of the standard adjustment, the 2nd pn should be
postoned at the rghtmost end of the hole.)
* To prevent the setscrews from loosenng, make sure
that the postonng cam comes n contact wth the
feed drvng eccentrc cam.
Note that, however, the 2nd pn can move to the
rght or left. It s therefore necessary to make sure
that a clearance s provded between feed drvng
eccentrc cam and postonng cam before checkng
the tmng.
