11.Check:
Brake fluid level
G
Fluid level is below the "LOWER" level line
→ Add the recommended brake fluid to the
proper level.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID
LEVEL".

ASSEMBLING THE MASTER CYLINDER

WARNING
All internal parts should be cleaned in
G
new brake fluid only.
Internal parts should be lubricated with
G
brake fluid when installed.
Recommended brake fluid:
DOT 4
Front brake master cylinder
1.Install:
Master cylinder kit 1
G
2.Install:
Master cylinder 1
G
CAUTION:
Install the master cylinder holder with the
G
"UP" mark facing forward.
Engage the indentations a in the collar
G
with the lobes b on the throttle lever
assembly and master cylinder.
First tighten the upper bolt, then the lower
G
bolt.
Master cylinder holder bolt:
7 Nm (0.7 m • kg, 5.1 ft • lb)
