FRONT AND REAR BRAKES
CHECKING THE BRAKE CALIPER AND
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Recommended brake component
replacement schedule:
Brake pads
Piston seal, dust seal Every two years
Brake hoses
Brake fluid
Brake pipes
All internal parts should be cleaned in new
brake fluid only. Do not use solvents as
they will cause seals to swell and distort.

Replace the piston seal and dust seal
whenever the caliper is disassembled.

Caliper piston 1
Scratches/rust/wear
assembly.
Caliper cylinder 2
Wear/scratches → Replace caliper assembly.
Caliper body 3
Cracks/damage → Replace.
Oil delivery passage (caliper body)
Blow out with compressed air.
WARNING
CHAS
As required
Every two years
Replace only when
brakes are
disassembled.
Replace whenever
brake pipes are
disconnected.
