ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE
1.Check:
Rear brake pedal position a
G
Out of specification → Adjust.
Brake pedal position:
0 ~ 10 mm (0 ~ 0.39 in)
1 Brake pedal
2 Footrest
2.Adjust:
Brake pedal position
G

Adjustment steps:
Loosen the locknut 1.
G
Turn the adjusting bolt 2 until the specified
G
brake pedal position is obtained.
Direction a
Brake pedal is lowered.
Direction b
Brake pedal is raised.
Brake pedal position:
0 ~ 10 mm (0 ~ 0.39 in)
Tighten the locknut 1.
G
Locknut:
17 Nm (1.7 m • kg, 12 ft • lb)
G
Adjust the rear brake light switch.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE
LIGHT SWITCH". (Manual No.: 2XJ-AE2)
WARNING
After this adjustment is performed, lift the
front and rear wheels off the ground by
placing a block under the engine, and spin
the rear wheels to ensure there is no brake
drag. If any brake drag is noticed, perform
the above steps again.
