2.8 Upper thread

Threading preparation

> Raise the needle.
> IMPORTANT: Raise the presser foot.
– The thread tension is released. The thread can be inserted without resistance.

Threading the upper thread

Place cross-wound spools and cones on the vertical spool pin. For smaller spools or parralel-wound
spools, use the horizontal spool pin (optional accessory).
Prerequisite:
Needle ist raised.
IMPORTANT: Presser foot is raised.
The machine is switched on.
> Place the spool on the left spool pin.
> Insert the thread first in the eyelet (1) positioned vertically above the spool and then in the front left
eyelet (2) of the thread guide.
> First, guide the thread on the left-hand side of the machine through an upper thread guide (3).
