5. If the network is secured, enter the password and press the Left soft key for Connect.
NOTE:
Your phone automatically connects to previously used Wi-Fi networks when they are in range.
Get Notified of Open Networks
1. From standby mode, press the OK key.
2. Select Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi.
3. Turn on the Wi-Fi if Wi-Fi is off.
4. Using the Down navigation key to select Wi-Fi preferences and press the OK key.
5. Press the OK key to turn on Open network notification switch.
When Wi-Fi is on, you receive notifications in the status bar when your phone detects an open
Wi-Fi network. Switch off this option to turn off notifications.
Add a Wi-Fi Network
You can add a Wi-Fi network if the network does not broadcast its name (SSID), or add a Wi-Fi
network when you are out of range.
To connect to a secured network, you first need to get the security details from the network's
administrator.
1. From standby mode, press the OK key.
2. Select Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi.
3. Turn on the Wi-Fi if Wi-Fi is off.
4. Using the Down navigation key to select Add network and press the OK key.
5. Enter the network SSID (name). If necessary, enter security or other network configuration
details.
6. Press the Left soft key for Save.
