Setting the product load

1.
Turn the temperature selector clockwise as far as it
will go in order to reduce the water volume and set the
maximum water temperature.
2.
Turn the power switch as far as it will go anti-clockwise
to set the maximum product output.
3.
Unscrew the sealing screw from the measuring nipple
(1) for the burner pressure.
4.
Connect a U tube pressure gauge (resolution at least
0.1 bar).
5.
Use a flat-blade screwdriver to set the product load on
the adjusting screw (2).
6.
Read off the value for the product load on the U tube
pressure gauge.
7.
If you are unable to set the correct values in accord-
ance with the Tables of gas settings (→ Page 25), do
not start up the product. Report this to Vaillant Cus-
tomer Service.
8.
Remove the U tube pressure gauge.
9.
Place the sealing screw and the seal on the measuring
nipple, tighten the sealing screw and check that it is
leak-tight.

Checking that the product functions
correctly and checking the leak-tightness
1.
Start up the product.
2.
Check the gas line, the flue gas installation and the hot
water pipes for leaks.
3.
Check that all control, regulation and monitoring
devices are functioning properly.
4.
Check that the flue gas guiding has been installed cor-
rectly and is securely fastened.
5.
Ensure that the product casing is properly installed.

Handing the product over to the operator

1.
Explain to the operator how the safety devices work and
where they are located.
2.
Inform the operator how to handle the product. Answer
any questions the operator may have.
3.
Draw special attention to the safety instructions which
the operator must follow.
4.
Inform the operator of the necessity to have the product
maintained according to the specified intervals.
5.
Pass all of the instructions and documentation for the
product to the operator for safe-keeping.
6.
Inform the operator about measures taken to ensure the
supply of combustion air and flue gas guiding, and in-
struct the operator that he must not make any changes.

Inspection and maintenance
Carry out inspection and maintenance on an annual
basis. The inspection may require maintenance to be
carried out earlier, depending on the results.

Procuring spare parts

The original components of the product were also certified
by the manufacturer as part of the declaration of conformity.
If you use other, non-certified or unauthorised parts during
maintenance or repair work, this may void the conformity of
the product and it will therefore no longer comply with the
applicable standards.
We strongly recommend that you use original spare parts
from the manufacturer as this guarantees fault-free and safe
operation of the product. To receive information about the
available original spare parts, contact the contact address
provided on the reverse of these instructions.
If you require spare parts for maintenance or repair
work, use only the spare parts that are permitted for the
product.

Draining the product

Loosen the drain screw (1) and the sealing ring for the
draining.
