Playing Styles Automatically with Your
Custom Chord Progressions (Chord Looper)
Normally, while playing along with a Style, you play chords in the chord section of the keyboard. However, by using the
Chord Looper function, you can record chord progressions you want to play over, and the Style can be played back in a
loop responding to the chord progression data. For example, if you play the chords C, F, G and C in order and record it,
the Style loops and keeps playing back as "C / F / G / C → C / F / G / C ... " —without the need for you to play chords in the
chord section of the keyboard. This extends your performance capability, letting you play freely with both your left and
right hands.
Playing while using Chord Looper
1
Select the desired Style.
As necessary, adjust the tempo.
2
Call up the Chord Looper display.
3
While playing back a Style, touch [Rec/Stop] on the display.
[Rec/Stop] flashes to indicate recording is in standby. On the next measure of the Style, [Rec/Stop] is turned on and
the recording starts.
NOTE
When [Rec/Stop] is turned on, the [ACMP] button is turned on automatically.
NOTE
If you turn on [Rec/Stop] while the Style is stopped, the [SYNC START] button is turned on automatically and lets you start
recording when you play a chord in the chord section.
4
Play the chords in the chord section, according to the playback tempo of the Style.
