    • If you cut plain paper into small size such as 4" x 6" (10 x 15 cm) or 5" x 7" (13 x 18 cm) to perform trial print, it can cause paper jams. Note • We recommend Canon genuine photo paper for printing photos. For details on the Canon genuine paper, see Supported Media Types.

    Replacing a FINE Cartridge When remaining ink cautions or errors occur, the ink lamps and the Alarm lamp will flash to inform you of the error. In this state, the printer cannot print or scan. Count the number of flashes and take appropriate action.
  • Page 37 • For Mac OS: Setting the Ink Cartridge to be Used • Color ink may be consumed even when printing a black-and-white document or when black-and- white printing is specified. Both color ink and black ink are also consumed in the standard cleaning and deep cleaning of the print head, which may be necessary to maintain the performance of the printer.

    Registering a Changed Printing Profile You can name and register the printing profile you made in the Print Dialog. The registered printing profile can be called up from Presets to be used.
