To communicate without Access Point (ad-hoc), proceed as follows:
1 Turn on the Wireless LAN switch.
2 Double-click the network icon on the taskbar displaying Wireless Network Connection.
The Wireless Network Connection dialog box appears.
3 Click the Change advanced settings button.
The Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog box appears.
4 Select the Wireless Networks tab.
5 Click the Add... button.
The Wireless network properties dialog box appears.
6 Enter a Network name (SSID)*.
You can choose up to a 32-digit alphanumeric name.
7 Select Open from the Network Authentication drop-down box.
8 Select WEP from the Data Encryption drop-down box.
