Aligning the adjustment unit

1. Attach the laser alignment unit.

2. Switch on the line laser.
3. Move the frame so that the line laser points to the
aid line E-F.
4. Using the positioning foot on the trolley, align the
unit so that the mirror unit is positioned vertically to
the surface of the floor.
5. Align with the aid of the spirit level.
6. Check whether the line laser is parallel to the aid
line E-F.
7. Switch off the line laser.
8. Remove the laser module.

The center of the mirror must point to the center
axis of the radar sensor.

For exact radar alignment, the mirror unit (ICC sen-
sor target plate) must be positioned correctly.

Sensor basic setting

Check whether the manufacturer-specific repair
instructions require this step.

Generally, aligning the radar sensor with the aid of a
coarse adjustment unit (e.g. spirit level) is necessary
on certain vehicles.

Sensor fine adjustment

The remaining test sequence is described in the di-
agnostic system or the manufacturer-specific repair
instructions.

The base plate with wheel modules and post can be
exchanged without any loss in measurement accura-
cy.
