PROBLEM
Engine fails to start

TROUBLESHOOTING

Spark plug is broken (cracked

Ignition lead wire shorted, broken, or
disconnected from spark plug
Ignition inoperative
Choke in wrong position
Engine is flooded
Water in gasoline
Weak spark at spark plug
Dirty air filter
Soap injection hose is not properly

High pressure nozzle attached
Low pressure nozzle installed
Inadequate water supply
Spray wand leaks
Nozzle is clogged

SOLUTION
Fill tank
Squeeze trigger to relieve water pressure
Replace spark plug
Replace spark plug
Replace lead wire or attach to spark
plug
Contact a qualified service center
Move choke to START position to start
a cold engine. If engine is warm, choke
should be in RUN position.
Move choke to RUN position and pull
the starter grip and rope repeatedly until
the engine starts
Drain entire system and refill with fresh
fuel
Contact a qualified service center
Clean or replace air filter
Insert soap injection hose into detergent
storage bucket
Use blue or black soap nozzle to apply
detergent
Replace with high pressure nozzle
Provide adequate water flow
Check connections and/or replace wand
Clean nozzle
Squeeze trigger on spray wand to
remove air from line
Replace hose
Eliminate kinks in hose
Contact a qualified service center
Replace with 3/4 in. garden hose
Check garden hose for kinks, leaks, and
blockages
Open water source full force
Attach the high pressure nozzle
