Lubrication oil specification
Recommended types of engine oil
Important! Use of improper or inferior oil can cause excessive wear of bearings and moving parts, thus
shortening the engine life. It can also result in sticking of piston rings and seizing of pistons in the
cylinders, thus causing major damage.
Oil grade
VDS-2
ACEA: E3–96, E2–96
API: CD, CE, CF, CF-4, CG-4
NOTE! Mineral based oil, or fully or semi-synthetic oil can be used on condition that it complies with the quality
requirements above.
1)
If the sulfur content in the fuel exceeds 1.0% by weight, an oil with TBN > 15 must be used.

Selection of oil viscosity
Use the following chart to select appropriate oil viscosity according to the ambient temperature.
Important! Excessively high oil viscosity causes power loss and higher oil temperature, while
excessively low oil viscosity results in inadequate lubrication and leakage of combustion gas with
increased wear and reduced output as a result.
